Fentanyl Fathers LIVE - School Assembly Program

At Fentanyl Fathers, we are dedicated to equipping students with the knowledge to combat the fentanyl crisis. Our school intervention program provides a powerful, real-world approach to educating youth on the dangers of fentanyl and overdose prevention. This program is appropriate for high school and middle school students.

Key Components of Our Program:

  1. Bereaved Parent Presenter
Students hear directly from parents who have lost children to fentanyl, sharing personal stories that leave a lasting impact.
  2. Vetted Curriculum & Slide Deck
We use a carefully developed curriculum and a Fentanyl Education Slide Deck, offering up-to-date, critical information on fentanyl dangers and prevention.
  3. Compelling Video Testimony
The award-winning documentary DEAD ON ARRIVAL shares real stories of families affected by fentanyl, deeply resonating with students.
  4. Awareness and Attitude Change Measurement
We conduct pre- and post-surveys to assess shifts in awareness and attitudes about fentanyl.
  5. Live Assembly Presentation with Naloxone Training
Our dynamic, in-person assembly covers awareness, prevention, overdose recognition, and naloxone training, empowering students to respond in emergencies.

We also offer ongoing community support, connecting students to mental health resources, substance abuse services, and free naloxone distribution. Book a school assembly event today! Together, we can protect our youth and save lives.

    S.A.F.E. (Students Advocating Fentanyl Education)

Fentanyl Fathers is proud to announce our new program, S.A.F.E. (Students Advocating Fentanyl Education), which empowers students to lead the fight against the fentanyl crisis in their schools and communities. Through our assembly presentations, we challenge students to take action by starting a S.A.F.E. chapter at their school, focused on education and awareness around the dangers of fentanyl and counterfeit pills.

    What is S.A.F.E.?

S.A.F.E. is a student-led initiative that promotes peer-to-peer education on the risks associated with fentanyl, overdose prevention, and lifesaving resources like naloxone. With guidance from Fentanyl Fathers, students can start chapters at their schools, ensuring ongoing dialogue and awareness among their peers. Fentanyl Fathers play an advisory role, providing essential resources and support to help students successfully establish, collaborate, and run their chapters.

    How S.A.F.E. Works:

    • Step 1: Attend an Assembly
Fentanyl Fathers visits schools across the country, raising awareness about fentanyl dangers through dynamic, informative assemblies. We encourage students to step up and form a S.A.F.E. chapter at their school.
    • Step 2: Connect and Collaborate
Interested students are encouraged to connect with peers from existing S.A.F.E. chapters for guidance and inspiration. Fentanyl Fathers facilitates these connections, ensuring each new chapter has the support it needs.
    • Step 3: Chapter Setup
Fentanyl Fathers offers a comprehensive toolkit to help students meet the requirements for establishing a chapter. This toolkit was put together by an existing S.A.F.E chapter at Beach HS in Florida. Resources include:
      • First meeting agendas
      • Awareness posters
      • Educational presentations
      • Naloxone training and distribution (where state laws permit)
      • How to set up a student organization

    Supporting S.A.F.E. Chapters

Each S.A.F.E. chapter is entirely student-run, with Fentanyl Fathers offering ongoing advice and support. We help students organize events, promote awareness campaigns, and host naloxone trainings in their communities. We’re committed to bridging any gaps that arise as more schools establish S.A.F.E. chapters, ensuring they have the resources needed to succeed.

If you're a student interested in starting a S.A.F.E. chapter at your school or want more information, get in touch with us today, or reach out to S.A.F.E. @fentanylsafe on Instagram, or visit their website. Together, we can make our schools safer and more informed about the fentanyl crisis.

    Testimonials

"There are just a ton of different drugs that are out there, and all the little things that they mix into them is just insane to me. I didn't realize how prevalent this stuff is, and even in our community!"

    - Student Attendee

"This was a very powerful message, and the kids were very in tune with it. You know when you looked around you saw some kids crying, wiping tears off their face, so we think the message hit pretty hard to them. It was very good."

    -High School Health Teacher

"We're not the type of family to discuss these things around the dinner table, but after your presentation my child came home and couldn't stop talking about it- the assembly, the families who spoke, and how much they learned about fentanyl. Later, their friends came over and they kept the conversation going. You're truly making an impact."

    - Parent of Student Attendee

"I thought it was very moving. Me personally, I've dealt with family members who struggle with addiction and overdose, so I thought it was just very moving, and a very good lesson for our generation - help out a lot of kids."

    -Student Attendee

"I think what really got to me was just seeing like, how much of it, like on a pencil tip, could just kill you that easily...like you never know, you wouldn't even be able to see it and it will just kill you."

    - Student Attendee

“I think it was a good presentation I feel like having real people come in and talk about fentanyl deaths makes it so much more real and gives more awareness to drug safety.“

    - Student Attendee

"I recently saw Fentanyl Fathers lecturing in our school and was interested in spreading global awareness of how Fentanyl could destroy one's life...I am interested in creating clubs in my school, social media accounts, and spreading the word to people so that we can make a safer community."

    -Student Attendee

"That was the best, most impactful presentation I've seen in my entire career. If you ever face resistance from a school about presenting, have them call me"

    - HS Superintendent (50 years in education)

"Thank you so much. The kids were completely locked in. We appreciate you sharing your story - it truly made a difference."
